This weekend begins our weeklong celebration of the 122nd Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel here in Bristol, RI. Of course, it will be a little different this year. This Sunday, July 12th, is our Opening Mass at 1030 followed by our Chief Marshals reception in our Parish Hall until 130PM. You are all cordially invited to attend. For the Mass our Chief Marshals Adam and Priscilla Baron and their grandchildren Nathan, Luke, Margaret, Grace, Tom, and Matthew Swift, who are the Venditouli Youth Award winner will sit together with their family in the front of the Church as one household. Masks are required, as they are at all our masses, and social distance will be maintained. Immediately following, will be the Chief Marshal’s reception in the hall. Again we have the hall set it up so social distance rules are followed and masks are required. We will bring people in at the State Street entrance to greet Adam and Priscilla and the Swift Children, to place a flower on the Blessed Mother Queen of Carmel, then to receive a prewrapped box of Italian Cookies. After which you will immediately exit through the back side door on High Street. A different way of doing thing, but all designed to keep everyone safe and to give honor to Mary Queen of Carmel and to thank Adam and Priscilla and the Swift Children for all they do for our parish and community. And of course, as I announced at Easter, this is all in memory of our beloved Natalie Swift. YOU ARE ALL INVITED. PLEASE JOIN US! Fr. Zinno
